AHHH, Spring is in the air and one of the main staples of the beginning of Spring is the start of the Spring Flower and Garden Shows around the country. Living in Boston, Massachusetts we use to always make it a point to go to the New England Spring Flower Show whenever we would get a chance.

Going to the flower and garden show always created a new sense of energy in myself and I'm sure in many others that the doldrums of winter would soon be gone and the energy of new and beautiful thing to come with the beggining of spring.

Now is the time to seek out your local flower and garden show. It will brighten up your spirits and give you a head start on all the beautiful flower and you can use to accent your garden throuout the Spring and Summer months.

Gardening Question of the Day for Sunday, March 18, 2007

Last year, I planted two small apple trees, a ‘Granny Smith Supreme’ and a ‘Red Delicious Supreme’. The trees are about 4-1/2 feet tall and did bloom. However, my puppy ate one of them — well, chewed about 2 feet of it off. My question is, Will it regrow or fix itself, or should I dig it up and throw it away? They are precious to me, as I live in a historic Civil War–era home and the property is just gorgeous. We are trying hard to keep it as is. (answer).

From The Old Farmer's Almanac.
